Eat, Pray, Sleep, Day 127

September 28, 2010

After one of the most incredible and difficult weekends in at least recent history, I can honestly say I still need time to process all that transpired. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll have some time to carve out some semblance of a response to my participation in Sarah Small’s Tableau Vivant on Saturday night, but a rough couple of days have left me exhausted and dying for some serious sleep. In the meantime, I leave you with a quote attributed to Elizabeth Gilbert that just about sums up my current state –

“To sit patiently with a yearning that has not yet been fulfilled, and to trust that, that fulfillment will come, is quite possibly one of the most powerful ‘magic skills’ that human beings are capable of. It has been noted by almost every ancient wisdom tradition.”

Tomorrow: Rehearsal with the Collegiate Chorale for Ulysses. Tonight: Rest.
